Sam started his career in value-add real estate, and over that career, he repositioned 220,000+S.F. of real estate. In the wake of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Sam bought and repositioned second mortgages for a profit. Sam garnered a reputation as a preferred developer for Tim Hortons and executed development work for Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, and Bigby Coffee, to name a few. Following these ventures, Sam Khouri was a board member and Head of Origination at Berkeley Capital (a company focused on deploying and managing capital for international institutions in the U.S.). Over two years, with a disciplined investment approach, Sam sourced $8 Billion in qualifying assets, advanced $3 Billion in term sheets, and exclusively secured transactions valued at $800 Million. This role was pivotal in gaining institutional knowledge in preparation for the launching of future funds and entry into the capital markets. These roles have established a compounded experience and knowledge in leadership, opportunity sourcing, legal, market, development and construction, and institutional experience.
